Ryan
Workman
T e s t i m o n y
Greater London Authority (GLA)

"Ryan is a real pleasure to work with. I found him to be a valuable and committed member of the team. His work for me on Police and Crime was excellent as was any work he was asked to do. He assisted with briefings for Mayors Questions, Plenary, and Press Releases, and also did other general research for me and the team, which was always delivered on time and of the highest standard. One of Ryan’s strength’s is that he always goes the extra mile and is proactive not just waiting to provide a brief on request. Many a morning I would arrive in the office and Ryan would ask if I was aware of a particular issue and even suggest what might be an appropriate course of action." - Keith Prince, GLA Assembly Member

"Ryan is a meticulous and efficient researcher who can deliver high-quality work in a busy environment. While at the Greater London Authority, he wrote an excellent report for me making policy recommendations to the Mayor of London. He showed significant political acumen in his writing, balancing the interests of many different stakeholder groups. I was particularly impressed with how he helped me expand and develop my policy positions into polished, well-evidenced recommendations on a complex policy subject." - Shaun Bailey, GLA Assembly Member

The Association of Police and Crime Commissioners

"While based at the Association of Police and. Crime Commissioners (APCC), Ryan supported a key piece of national policing work. Ryan was an effective member of the team taking responsibility for creating, managing and analysing databases. He drew on previous experience to enable the team to use survey techniques to improve the process. The role required him to act as the interface between the Home Office and the wider policing service ensuring those seeking funding were regularly updated. This was a particular challenge with the calling of the General Election requiring the team to adapt the process to new timescales. This was a pressurized and challenging placement throughout to which Ryan contributed positively with good humour." - Jacky Courtney, Director of Police Reform Development

"Ryan played a crucial role in delivering the spring 2017 Police Transformation Fund application process. He is proactive, a hard worker, and a keen analytical thinker. Ryan was a valuable member of our team and I would highly recommend Ryan for a research/policy position." - Jane Carey, Police Reform Development Officer

Grandparents Plus

"Ryan helped me with conducting our yearly membership survey. He was quick to understand how to use the research software and run tests on the data. Ryan has a good grasp of research methods and was able to help us produce a good quality final report." - Agnes Gautier, Policy Officer at Grandparents Plus
